Mr. T. Philip Perlman, Founder and President of BIGideas

Prior to starting BIGideas, founder Mr. T. Philip Perlman served as the Director of Client Services for the nationally-recognized and award-winning agency Progressive Marketing Group (PMG) based in Melville, New York. At PMG, he was responsible for creating and managing the execution of strategic and tactical marketing and publicity initiatives for an enviable list of national and regional clientele primarily in the healthcare, hospitality, real estate, and high-tech industries.

Mr. Perlman also served as the Vice President of Marketing and Media Relations for the Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Partnership in Huntington, New York, which is regarded as one of the largest and most influential business membership organizations in the metropolitan area. At The Chamber, Mr. Perlman was widely credited with significantly enhancing the quality of its marketing and communications initiatives, actively collaborating with local and federal elected officials, providing vital operational leadership through challenging times, successfully orchestrating prominent large-scale events, and aggressively advocating for many of the region’s leading companies.

Before his tenure with The Chamber, Mr. Perlman worked at Computer Associates International (CA) in Islandia, New York as an AVP of Marketing for the interBiz Division, which provided enterprise business applications for banking, financial, human resources, supply chain, distribution, logistics, and eCommerce. At CA, he was responsible for promoting the brand worldwide through multiple channels and overseeing marketing intelligence to track effectiveness of all initiatives, as well as all sales forecasting for interBiz and CA’s global professional services team. Mr. Perlman was consistently promoted and rewarded during his service for distinguishing himself as a reputable leader who could deliver successful marketing initiatives, effectively motivate staff, and efficiently manage budgets.

Mr. Perlman started his career during the dawn of the Internet Age in the early 1990s, and discovered an opportunity to help companies to effectively utilize the new medium to market their products and services. His first company, Innovative Internet Solutions in Daytona Beach, Florida, eventually merged with one of the region’s most successful Internet Service Providers to form NetControl, a full-service internet marketing and access company.
